POSITION SUMMARY:
The Millie’s Pizzeria Server plays a key role in delivering an outstanding guest experience by providing attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient service. The Server is responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, processing payments, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS/TASKS:
● Warmly acknowledge and greet all guests upon seating
● Guide guests through the menu, offering recommendations and answering questions
● Take and enter food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
● Serve food and beverages promptly while adhering to service standards
● Ensure guests have all necessary items for their meals and refill drinks as needed
● Checks ID for all guests ordering alcohol
● Process guest payments accurately and efficiently
● Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with the dress code
● Maintains complete knowledge of the food and beverage menus
● Diffuses situations calmly and respectfully, preventing escalation whenever possible
● Clear and reset tables efficiently between seatings
● Assist with stocking and restocking service areas, including beverages, utensils, and condiments
● Coordinates any concerns or unsatisfactory experiences of our guests to the Manager on Duty for immediate resolution
● Assist in the setup and breakdown of service areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization
● Ensures the highest level of cleanliness and safety in our space at all times, pro-actively reporting issues to the Manager on Duty
● Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations
● Monitors and protects property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire and accidents.
● Perform all other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
● Must be motivated, hardworking, passionate with superior verbal skills
● Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and decision-making abilities
● Self-motivated, positive attitude and willingness to work as a team to go above and beyond expectations
● Must be over 18 years old.
● Must have or be able to acquire the Gwinnett County Alcohol Pouring Permit
● Commitment to company values and excellent guest service
● Ability to keep an open and objective view, listen empathetically, and be respectful always
● Successful applicants must be able to transition between busy and slower times of the evening, maximizing every guest’s experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
● High school diploma or GED
● Two (2) or more years of experience in a restaurant, bar or lounge, or similar setting
● Advanced knowledge of wine

● Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
● Creative problem solver abilities – must be able to identify real obstacles and viable solutions
● Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, while maintaining composure
● Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
● Position will be required to work nights and weekends.

● Be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Must be able to lift and move furniture when necessary
● Ability to speak and hear, vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
● Regularly required to use hands and frequent washing of hands.
